Miniature Therapy

I have been facinated. By miniatures my whole life. It all started when I was a child and I received a tin doll house 2nd hand. It was painted with great detail but it came with no accessories. I played with it often. I made my own furniture and household items from other toys such as legos  and blocks.
As an adult I discovered a little store in a small beach town called, Tide's Creation. It was a gift store that sold all the usual things like T-shirts, hats and keychains. But as you entered the store you walked down a short hall way and on either side were glass enclosed, wall to ceiling, well lite cases that had the most detailed scenes in them . There was a Hawiian scene with an open pit fire roasting a pig, girls in grass skirts and grass huts. And many other tiny things, my favorite was a tiny toy train on a track that worked.
I was hooked and before I left that store, hours later, I had the beginning to a collection of miniatures that would one day lead to the miniature crazed world I live in today.
